July 1, 2017, the South Central Task Force "Hospital and Healthcare Subcommittee" became a Subcommittee of the newly formed Pa. Department of Health recognized,
South Central Pennsylvania Healthcare Coalition (SCPAHC)
The primary goal is to unite the entire community of healthcare provider agencies to assess, plan for, mitigate, respond, and/or recover from any disastrous event.
The Coalition is comprised of representatives of Behavioral Health, Outpatient Clinics, Home Health Services, Hospitals, Emergency Medical Services, Long Term Care, Hospice, south Central Task Force, state and regional healthcare support, and affiliated agencies.

All healthcare provider entities are encouraged to participate.
Why Join?
Members of the Coalition:
- Provide support to Center for Medicare Services and other credentialing/licensing provider services in meeting requirements
- Conduct ASSESSMENTS, develop PLANNING strategies to MITIGATE likelihood of hazardous events based on Hazard Vulnerability Assessments
- Facilitate preparation of EMERGENCY PLANS, conduct EDUCATION/TRAINING, and then, plan and coordinate Coalition EXERCISES
- FEDERAL FUNDING supports coalition driven emergency preparedness activities
